A day-long summit on what artificial intelligence can do for Croydon’s economy takes place at Hilton London Croydon on Tuesday 27 October, run by Croydon Business Association CIC with PhoeniX GreenNetZero. The CBA London AI Tech Summit 2.0, subtitled The Conversion Stack, runs from 10am to 4pm, with registration from 9.15am, at 101 Waddon Way, off Purley Way.

If you were hoping to go, check first: the Eventbrite listing showed sales as ended when we checked on 25 October, with places priced at £0 and the booking window closed on 14 October. Anyone who missed out should contact the association through its website.

What the summit is about

In its invitation to Croydon Today, the association said the summit “will examine how AI capability can translate into productive capacity, business investment, skilled jobs and measurable public value.”

“It will also feature a discussion on women’s entrepreneurship and the development of AI enabled wellbeing technology,” the association said.

The Eventbrite listing promises “keynotes, VIP government panel & 100+ business leaders”. The organisers’ poster puts the figure higher, describing an “intimate, high-stakes summit” bringing together “150 key leaders across business, government, investment, and education” that “cuts through the noise to focus on real-world execution.”

The poster frames the day around one question: “How do we convert AI capability into measurable economic and social value?”
